Wednesday’s return to Nevermore Academy has been a massive hit, with Part 1 of Season 2 taking the number one spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched English TV shows worldwide. The first four episodes quickly accumulated a staggering 50 million views in just four days.
This season’s debut not only scored the second-highest views in a single week for an English TV title on Netflix, only behind Season 1 of Wednesday, but it also made history by becoming the first English TV title to top the charts in 91 countries during its first week.
Jenna Ortega’s captivating performance and gothic appeal continue to be at the heart of the show’s success, sparking a huge fan following. Her Instagram followers skyrocketed from 9 million to 37 million around the Season 1 premiere and have since grown even more.
