Spider-Man: Brand New Day Vignette & Musk-Funded Disney Lawsuit Settled – Star Wars Update

The summer season is heating up, and the latest on Hollywood entertainment is sizzling. Here’s a quick roundup to keep you in the know!

Sony Pictures Entertainment just released a production vignette for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The clip showcases Tom Holland on the set of the new movie, filming a scene where he’s riding a tank down the street. Adding to the excitement, Sony also confirmed that the Hulk will make an appearance in the film.

Disney has reached a settlement in a lawsuit with Gina Carano, funded by Elon Musk. The lawsuit arose after Carano, known for her role in The Mandalorian, was fired by Disney for a controversial social media post. Details of the settlement have not been disclosed, but both parties look forward to potential future collaborations.

In the Star Wars universe, Lucasfilm has cast Matt Smith in the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter movie. Smith, best known for his role in House of the Dragon, will star alongside Ryan Gosling in this highly anticipated film.

Prime Video’s Vought Rising is already in production and has just added new cast members to the mix. The spinoff series of The Boys, which stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, will also feature Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.

Big changes are on the horizon for Hulu, as the streaming app is set to be phased out by 2026. Hulu will be fully integrated into the Disney+ app, following the merger of the two streaming services. However, Hulu will still be available as a standalone plan, with content accessible via Disney+.

Unfortunately, Disney has decided to cancel the Goosebumps series, which ran for two seasons on Disney+. Fans of the popular series will have to wait and see if Sony Pictures TV finds a new home for the R.L. Stine IP.

Stay tuned for more updates on exciting projects in the world of streaming entertainment!
