In “The Paper,” Domhnall Gleeson plays Ned, the editor-in-chief of The Toledo Truth-Teller, a historic Midwestern newspaper that is trying to make a comeback. The show, created by Greg Daniels of “The Office” fame, promises to bring the same humor and wit that fans loved from the original series.
Scheduled to debut on Peacock on September 4th, “The Paper” will start with four episodes, followed by two new episodes every Thursday until September 25th, for a total of 10 episodes. The star-studded cast includes Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, and Ramona Young, along with guest appearances by Eric Rahill, Tracy Letts, Molly Ephraim, and many more.
Even Steve Carell, who portrayed Michael Scott in “The Office,” is excited for the new series. When asked for advice by Gleeson, Carell recommended taking the role, citing Greg Daniels as a guarantee of a fun experience.
