Jennifer Garner’s Elin Hilderbrand Series Filming on Nantucket This Fall
The beautiful beaches of Nantucket are usually teeming with tourists, but this fall they will be bustling with film crews instead. Author Elin Hilderbrand, who had previously filmed “The Perfect Couple” on the Cape, is now bringing another of her novels, “The Five-Star Weekend”, to the small screen.
Unlike the first series, “The Five-Star Weekend” will actually be filmed on Nantucket itself. Set to be a TV mini-series for Peacock, the show stars Jennifer Garner as a food influencer hosting a weekend getaway at her house with three friends from different stages of her life.
Filming for the series is scheduled to take place from September 10 to October 2, with locations including the Nantucket Memorial Airport, The Chicken Box, Bartlett’s Farm, the Summer House Cottages, and even Stop & Shop. The production team has also requested noise and light bylaw waivers, road closures, and access to town-owned property.
While some scenes will be shot on the island in the early fall, the bulk of the filming will happen on a sound stage in Los Angeles, where intricate replica homes of Nantucket and Wellesley have been built to maintain continuity. The series is expected to premiere in spring or summer of 2026.
In addition to Jennifer Garner, the cast of “The Five-Star Weekend” includes well-known names like Regina Hall, Chloe Sevigny, Judy Greer, Timothy Olyphant, and more. So keep an eye out for these stars on Nantucket this fall as they bring this exciting new series to life.
