Disney Stars Take Over Disneyland for Filming of New Disney+ Series

sney CEO Bob Iger negotiated a deal with NBCUniversal and brought Oswald back to Disney, where he belonged, in exchange for sportscaster Al Michaels. And back in March, nearly 20 years after his return, Disney announced that Oswald was getting his very own series.
The Mandalorian and live-action Lion King (2019) director, Jon Favreau, is the creative mind behind the new venture, making a new animation/live-action hybrid series that is being created for Disney+. Favreau is serving as the writer, director, and producer, so audiences can be sure that it will bring something unique and incredible to the table.
Filming for the series has already begun, though we are not yet sure when it will premiere on Disney+. Over the weekend, some lucky Disneyland Resort guests got to witness Jon Favreau and a filming crew setting up shop inside The Happiest Place on Earth. Excitingly, Kathryn Hahn, known for her role as Agatha Harkness in Marvel’s Disney+ series WandaVision and Agatha All Along, was also spotted for the series, which has the Disney codename “Ink and Paint.”
Even though no official casting details have been released, photos shared on Reddit have confirmed Kathryn Hahn’s involvement in the series. Other footage shows Favreau directing scenes with young actors in various iconic locations within Disneyland, such as the Fire Department, City Hall, and the Enchanted Tiki Room.
While we don’t have much more information about the upcoming series, including additional cast members or the storyline, rest assured that Inside the Magic will keep you updated as we learn more.
