Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘FUBAR’ Netflix Series Canceled After Two Seasons

FUBAR, the action-packed spy comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro, has been canceled after two seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The news of the cancellation came after the show’s viewing numbers dropped significantly from season one to season two.

When FUBAR first premiered on Netflix two years ago, it topped Nielsen’s streaming charts with 1.53 billion minutes of viewing during its debut week. However, in its second season, the show only amassed 412 million viewing minutes during its premiere week this year. Overall, the series saw a 73 percent decline in viewing minutes from season one to season two, landing it at number 8 among Netflix’s original shows for its second season.

In addition to Schwarzenegger and Barbaro, the second season of FUBAR introduced Carrie-Anne Moss to the cast. Moss played a former fling of Schwarzenegger’s character, Luke Brunner. The show also featured talented actors like Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris, and Scott Thompson.

The series followed Luke Brunner, a veteran CIA operative on the brink of retirement, who is pulled back into the world of espionage after a mission to save his daughter, played by Barbaro, uncovers new threats and challenges. Unfortunately, despite the star-studded cast and engaging storyline, FUBAR has ended its run after two seasons on Netflix.
