South Park Leaving HBO Max to Join Paramount+ Library Next Week

Next week, **South Park** is saying goodbye to HBO Max and moving to Paramount+ as the exclusive global streaming platform for this long-running animated comedy. For the last five years, **South Park** has been a staple on HBO Max, boasting its 26-season library. However, starting on August 5th, all **South Park** content will be making its way over to Paramount+.

Just last month, Park County and Paramount sealed a comprehensive deal that includes plans for 50 new episodes over the next five years and grants global streaming rights, including in the U.S. For a brief time, both HBO Max and Paramount+ had seasons 1 through 26 available for streaming. **South Park** has even been reigning as the number one show on Paramount+.

Following **South Park**’s departure from HBO Max, Paramount+ will become the exclusive home for all episodes and future releases. Fans can still catch new episodes airing on Comedy Central, but for all their binge-watching needs, they’ll have to head over to Paramount+. The timing couldn’t be more perfect, as **South Park** makes the move to Paramount+ just ahead of the completion of Paramount’s sale to Skydance.

The journey of **South Park** in both the world of streaming and content creation has been marked by negotiation and collaboration between Park County, Paramount, and Skydance. The legendary creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been at the helm of it all, ensuring fans can continue to enjoy the misadventures of Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and the rest of the gang for years to come.
