Netflix Announces 10 New Colombian Titles Including True Crime, Franchise Finales, and Political Drama

Netflix recently announced an exciting lineup of 10 new Colombian productions set to premiere in the near future, showcasing the streaming giant’s commitment to investing in local storytelling across Latin America.

This diverse slate includes a mix of original dramas, returning series, and nonfiction projects, with a focus on bringing to life real-life events from Colombia’s recent history. Fans can also look forward to the highly anticipated second and final season of the adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude, slated for release next year.

One of the standout new titles is “Palace” (Palacio), a series depicting the 1985 siege of Colombia’s Palace of Justice by the M-19 guerrilla group. Directed by Jayro Bustamante, Edgar Nito, and Samir Olivares, and led by showrunner Natalia Santa, this gripping drama revisits the dramatic 27-hour standoff that left a lasting impact on the nation. “Palace” is produced by the renowned Bogotá-based studio Dynamo.

Additionally, fans of Netflix’s popular franchises will be thrilled to know that several series, including the hit drama “Medusa,” are gearing up for their final seasons. “Medusa,” a compelling story of family dynamics and power struggles, has captivated audiences and is set to return for its second and final season next year, featuring new cast members Juan Pablo Urrego and Karen Martínez. With these exciting new projects on the horizon, Colombian and international audiences have much to look forward to from Netflix in the coming months.
