Cote de Pablo explains why she did not need an intimacy coordinator on NCIS: Tony & Ziva

In the latest trailer for the upcoming NCIS spinoff, “NCIS: Tony & Ziva,” fans can see sparks flying between the beloved former agents, Tony and Ziva. Set to premiere on Paramount+ in September, this new series promises to be a thrilling ride for fans.

While intimacy coordinators have become commonplace on sets for scenes like these, Cote de Pablo, who stars alongside Michael Weatherly in the show, revealed that she didn’t feel the need for one. According to her, the trust and friendship she shares with Weatherly made it unnecessary. They prefer to explore the scenes organically, without feeling micromanaged.

Weatherly echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of nonverbal communication in love scenes. He expressed his willingness to follow de Pablo’s lead in such moments, highlighting the deep level of trust between them.

The series picks up after Tony and Ziva have reunited, following a turbulent period in their lives. Now living in Paris with their daughter Tali, the couple finds themselves on the run across Europe after Tony’s security company comes under attack. The show promises to deliver plenty of action, intrigue, and maybe even a chance for Tony and Ziva to rekindle their relationship.

With the first three episodes set to premiere on September 3, fans can look forward to an exciting start to this long-awaited spinoff. Stay tuned to see if Tony and Ziva can find their unconventional happily ever after!
