Former Bradford Bulls star Danny Peacock dies at age 57
Former rugby league star Danny Peacock, who played for the Bradford Bulls in the nineties, has passed away at the age of 57. Peacock, who came to Bradford in 1997 after stints with Western Suburbs, Gold Coast Seagulls, and South Queensland Crushers, was part of the Bulls team that were Super League champions that year under coach Matthew Elliott.
During his time at Bradford, Peacock made 52 appearances for the club and even scored a try in the Challenge Cup final where St Helens emerged victorious. Unfortunately, a knee injury forced him to retire at the age of 31 in 1999 after it had troubled him in his final two seasons with the Bulls.
Peacock’s passing was discovered by motel staff in Toowoomba, Queensland, where he was staying. The Bradford community is deeply saddened by the loss of this former player who contributed to the team’s success during his time with the club.
