Family Guy Halloween and Holiday Specials to Return on Hulu

This year, Hulu is bringing new Family Guy specials to our screens, starting with a Halloween special debuting on October 6th. And that’s not all – there will also be a holiday special coming later in the year!

Earlier this year, FOX announced that they were sticking with adult animation, renewing fan favorites like The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and American Dad!. And from what we learned at San Diego Comic-Con, it looks like Hulu is also on board with keeping Family Guy around. In the upcoming Halloween special, “A Little Fight Music,” Brian and Stewie try to write a hit Halloween song while Peter and the guys learn the hard way that lying about trick or treating can have serious consequences.

In terms of seasons and episodes, Hulu’s deal includes Bob’s Burgers (Seasons 16-19), Family Guy (Seasons 24-27), American Dad! (Seasons 20-23), and The Simpsons (Seasons 37-40). Disney+ and Hulu will be the exclusive streaming platforms for these four animated series, while American Dad! will continue airing on TBS, Adult Swim, and TruTV until at least 2030.

According to Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network, this new deal reflects the enduring popularity of these iconic comedies and the strong partnership between Fox and Disney. Rob Wade, CEO of Fox Entertainment, agrees, emphasizing the long-term value of this collaboration. Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation, shared her excitement for this historic order of four new seasons, ensuring that fans can enjoy even more episodes of these beloved shows for years to come.
