Walking Dead spinoff leaving Netflix earlier than anticipated

AMC Networks and Netflix have had a great partnership with many AMC shows available to stream on Netflix, including the entire Walking Dead series. In 2024, Netflix added more titles like Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. But, like all good things, this partnership has an expiration date. In August 2024, several titles like Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon were added to Netflix. And in 2025, new spinoffs like The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live and The Walking Dead: Dead City were added to the lineup.

Unfortunately, Netflix recently announced its list of titles leaving the platform in August 2025, which includes The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. This news might disappoint fans who loved following Rick and Michonne’s journey in this limited series. The show featured six episodes that captured the couple’s quest to reunite and more.

Fans were thrilled to see Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira return as Rick and Michonne, along with other familiar faces like Pollyanna McIntosh and new additions to The Walking Dead universe. The show was well-received by viewers, with many considering it one of the best spinoffs in the franchise.

While The Ones Who Live will be leaving Netflix on August 19, there’s hope for fans as the show’s creator, Scott M. Gimple, has hinted that we might see Rick and Michonne in another series in the future. So, if you’re a fan of Richonne, be sure to catch The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live before it’s gone from Netflix.
