Trey Parker and Matt Stone sign new overall deal

Exciting news for “South Park” fans! The legendary show is heading to Paramount+ in the U.S. Thanks to a new five-year global licensing deal with Paramount Global, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s company Park County. This agreement, which is still in the works, is expected to be exclusive and will cover the next five seasons, each with 10 episodes, as well as the show’s extensive library.

According to reports, the deal is valued at a whopping $300 million per year or $1.5 billion in total. Fans can anticipate the signing of the deal before the premiere of Season 27 on Comedy Central on July 23rd. Additionally, Parker and Stone are set to appear at Comic-Con for a panel in Hall H the following day.

In addition to bringing “South Park” to Paramount+, negotiations are also underway for an extension of Parker and Stone’s previous $900 million overall deal from 2021. This deal was initially intended to keep the creators on-board. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting collaboration unfolds!
