‘South Park Creators Seal $1.5 Billion Streaming Deal with Paramount+’
South Park creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have reached a $1.5 billion streaming deal with Paramount+. The agreement includes exclusive global streaming rights for a period of five years, with Park County set to produce 10 new episodes of the show annually, alongside access to its extensive content library.
Previously, the premiere of Season 27 was delayed due to ongoing negotiations over streaming rights. The deal comes after a series of tense discussions, during which Parker and Stone accused Paramount president Jeff Shell of interfering with their negotiations with other platforms.
In addition to the streaming deal, both parties are also in talks to renew Parker and Stone’s previous $900 million agreement to keep South Park airing on Comedy Central through 2027.
This marks a significant milestone for the beloved animated comedy, ensuring that fans can continue to enjoy new episodes and revisit classic moments from the show’s library for years to come.
