Paramount Plus Shows: Canceled and Renewed for 2025-2026 Season

ad of the 2025-2026 season, Paramount+ decided not to renew the 2023 reboot of “Frasier” and the crime drama “Happy Face.” Unfortunately, “Frasier” only lasted two seasons, and “Happy Face” was cut after just one.

Kelsey Grammer, who played Frasier Crane, expressed disappointment about the cancelation in a recent interview with the New York Post. He mentioned that Paramount+ didn’t promote the show much and seemed to lack passion for the project. Despite this, he remains hopeful that the show could find a better home on a different platform.

In addition to Grammer, “Frasier” starred Jack Cutmore-Scott, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro, Anders Keith, and Nicholas Lyndhurst, while “Happy Face” featured Annaleigh Ashford, James Wolk, and Dennis Quaid.

Several other Paramount+ series are also in uncertain territory. Shows like “The Challenge: All Stars,” “The Family Stallone,” “Lioness,” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars” have yet to be canceled or renewed. Additionally, the “Yellowstone” prequel “1923” wrapped up after its second season earlier this year.

On a brighter note, there are plenty of shows that have been renewed for the 2025-2026 season. “MobLand,” “The Agency,” “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” “Dexter: Original Sin,” “Mayor of Kingstown,” “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” “Landman,” “Tulsa King,” “School Spirits,” “Dora,” and “Tales of the Mutant Ninja Turtles” are all set to return.

Excitingly, a new show is joining the Paramount+ lineup in the fall of 2025. The “NCIS” spinoff “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” is scheduled to premiere on September 4th, with Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo reprising their roles from the original series.

While some shows may be saying goodbye, there is still plenty of entertainment to look forward to on Paramount+. Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to catch your favorites as they continue to bring you thrilling storylines and memorable characters.
