Steve Carell’s Success Sabotaged Prime Video’s Upload for Years

Steve Carell’s hit series, The Office, inadvertently caused delays for Prime Video’s thought-provoking sci-fi show, Upload, for years. The creator, Greg Daniels, originally envisioned Upload back in the late 1980s during his early writing career. However, with the immense success of The Office, Daniels had to put Upload on hold to focus on the beloved series.

Finally launching in 2020, Upload quickly garnered critical acclaim over three seasons. The show is now gearing up for its highly anticipated fourth and final season, set to premiere on August 25 with just four episodes to tie up all loose ends.

Daniels’ inspiration for Upload stemmed from his time at Saturday Night Live in the late ’80s, where new technologies like CD players sparked his creativity. The show offers a fresh take on futuristic themes and promises to leave audiences satisfied with its final season this summer.
