Hulu Docuseries on Murder of Tallahassee’s Mike Williams to Stream

A new Hulu docuseries called “Mr. & Mrs. Murder” is about to shed light on the 2000 murder of Mike Williams in Tallahassee. The series dives into the disturbing story of two tight-knit couples involved in the case: Kathy and Brian Winchester, and childhood friends Mike and Denise Williams. The plot unravels the intricate murder scheme that took 17 years to uncover, according to a news release from ABC News Studios.

Despite being devout Baptists who shared a passion for the outdoors and even synchronized their children’s births, the couples’ lives took a dark turn on December 16, 2000, when Mike disappeared during a duck hunting trip on Lake Seminole. Initially, it was believed that he drowned and was consumed by alligators. However, suspicions arose after Denise and Brian tied the knot a few years following Mike’s vanishing act, leading investigators to suspect wrongdoing.

Brian Winchester, Mike’s closest friend, stunned everyone in 2017 by admitting to planning, executing, and concealing Mike’s murder for almost two decades, cracking open the once-cold case. Both Brian and Denise are currently serving time in state institutions for their roles in the crime. Denise received a life sentence for the murder, while Brian is serving a 20-year term on a kidnapping conviction. In exchange for revealing the location of Mike’s remains and providing a complete confession, Brian was granted immunity by prosecutors.

Mike’s body was ultimately discovered at the end of Gardner Road, five miles away from his childhood home where his mother still resides. The docuseries promises interviews with the Winchesters’ and Williamses’ friends and relatives, along with crucial law enforcement officials and agents. Stay tuned to Hulu to explore this gripping and tragic real-life drama when the series debuts at the end of the month.
