Apple receives 27 Emmy nominations for ‘Severance’ and 23 for ‘The Studio’

Apple TV+ has scored big with a record-breaking 81 Emmy nominations across 14 of its popular shows this year. However, it’s worth noting that Apple includes its two nominated commercials in this count, while others recognize only 79 nominations. This surpasses Apple’s previous record of 72 nominations last year, but falls short of other networks like HBO Max with 142 and Netflix with 120 nominations this year.

The second season of Severance leads the pack with an impressive 27 nominations, making it the most nominated program across all networks. The comedy series, The Studio, also stood out with 23 Emmy nominations, tying with The White Lotus for third place overall and setting a record for any comedy in its first season.

Other noteworthy Apple TV+ shows include Shrinking and Slow Horses, with seven and five nominations, respectively, which are personal favorites among the Apple TV+ lineup.

While lots of nominations are exciting, it doesn’t always guarantee wins. We’ll have to wait until the Creative Arts ceremonies on September 6 and 7, as well as the Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony on September 14, to find out which series take home the trophies.
