Sausage Party Season 2 Trailer Reveals Disappointing Foodtopia
Do hot dogs dream of inedible treats? That’s the big question in the latest trailer for the upcoming season of Sausage Party: Foodtopia. Seth Rogen, Michael Cera, and Edward Norton are all making a comeback for another round of animated antics in this Prime Video series, set to premiere in August. The new trailer is packed with “unbelievably shocking” visual metaphors, including scenes of a hot dog undergoing chemical castration and humans being controlled by sausage-operated butt plugs. It’s pretty gross, but that’s the whole point of the show.
For the past decade, Rogen and his co-writers have been turning the absurd logic of animated movies like Cars into something truly revolting, juvenile, and, well, supposedly edible. And the second season of Sausage Party: Foodtopia is no different. In this new season, our favorite characters – Frank, Barry Wienerton, and Sammy Bagel, Jr – stumble upon a food-run town called New Foodland, where food can live without the fear of being eaten. How they make new, heavily processed hot dogs like Frank is a mystery, but with food reigning supreme, everything seems under control. Or does it?
Get ready to dive into all the madness of Sausage Party: Foodtopia season two when it premieres on August 13th.
