Bethesda Aims to Capitalize on ‘Fallout’ Success with TV Show Tie-Ins and Game Releases

If you’re a fan of Prime Video’s Fallout show and the games, it looks like Bethesda is gearing up to ride that wave of success. Jon Rush, creative director for Fallout 76, hinted at potential in-game tie-ins with the show in an interview with Variety. This could mean anything from character skins to in-game events inspired by episodes, similar to what Fortnite does.

There’s a 200-year gap separating Fallout 76 from the show, and the developers are aiming to keep any connections simple. Rush mentioned that the two projects mesh well and will likely link up in the future. For single-player Fallout fans, rejoice! A recent episode of the Friends Per Second Podcast featured VGC journalist Jordan Middler claiming that multiple Fallout projects are in the works, including possibly a remaster of Fallout 3 from 2008. Leaked documents from 2023 hinted at a Fallout 3 remaster alongside an Oblivion remaster, with Fallout 5 potentially on the horizon.

Even though Mystery continues to swirl around these projects, season two of Fallout is on the horizon. Prime Video is set to release the second season in December, so we won’t have to wait too long.
