‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 Trailer Features Marion Cotillard and Boyd Holbrook

When “The Morning Show” makes its comeback, the Apple series set in a news network will be diving headfirst into our current post-truth era. According to Jennifer Aniston’s character, the network’s new top executive, Alex Levy, we now need to question everything we see and hear more than ever before. Her former news anchor partner, played by Reese Witherspoon, echoes this sentiment, stating that the truth always finds a way to emerge.

The teaser for the upcoming season, released this week, doesn’t offer any new footage but features lines delivered by the characters against the backdrop of Alex and Bradley walking towards each other near a mirrored building inspired by their Manhattan news network. While no new visuals are shown, the audio teases some of the new characters we can expect to see in the ensemble cast of the Apple TV+ series.

Returning characters, like those portrayed by Mark Duplass and Billy Crudup, hint at digging up dirt and being willing to do someone’s dirty work. Meanwhile, Jon Hamm’s character, Alex’s ex-lover and professional rival, offers her a piece of advice: if she wants to lead the way, she needs to be prepared to give her all. On the other hand, the female executives performed by Greta Lee and Karen Pittman seem to be grappling with their changing roles in the new hierarchy.
