Meet Samantha Lorraine, the New Dora in Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado

Actress Samantha Lorraine has taken on the iconic role of Dora the Explorer in the film “Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado,” now available on Paramount+. Alongside co-stars like Jacob Rodriguez as Diego and Gabriel Iglesias as Boots, Samantha leads the adventure deep into the Amazon to find the ancient treasure of Sol Dorado before the villains get to it.

While this may be Samantha’s first time at the helm of a major franchise, she’s no stranger to the screen. You may have seen her in Netflix’s “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” as Lydia or in TV movies like “The Kid Who Only Hits Homers” and “The Love Advisor.”

In a recent interview, Samantha expressed her admiration for previous Dora actresses like Isabela Merced, acknowledging their incredible contributions to the character. She hopes to follow in their footsteps and build a successful career like theirs.

Born on May 11, 2007, in Miami, Florida, Samantha is proud of her Cuban roots and her large, close-knit family. Growing up watching Dora, she feels a deep connection to the character and even had the opportunity to speak with the original Dora voice actress, Kathleen Herles, which was a dream come true for her.
