Netflix Promotes Lukasz Kluskiewicz to Head of Content for Central and Eastern Europe
Netflix has recently promoted Lukasz Kluskiewicz to take charge of movies and TV shows produced in Central and Eastern Europe. Starting with the streaming giant back in 2018 as a content acquisition manager in Holland, Kluskiewicz is now based in Warsaw, Poland, overseeing TV series content, film licensing, and co-productions.
In 2016, Netflix launched its streaming service in Poland and later expanded to other Eastern European nations. Establishing a content production hub in Warsaw in 2022, Netflix further expanded by adding a technology hub in 2023. Kluskiewicz emphasized the significance of Poland in Netflix’s global operations, highlighting the country’s exceptional engineering talent, vibrant tech community, and academic excellence in an online post earlier this month.
He mentioned that teams in Warsaw are pivotal in developing tools and platforms that drive the production pipeline, bringing stories like fan-favorites such as ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Wednesday’ to life. Netflix is actively seeking individuals to fill engineering roles, including software engineering, UI engineering, and engineering management. Kluskiewicz expressed that Warsaw is a prime location for global innovation, inviting interested individuals to be a part of shaping the future of entertainment.
