Wicked: Part One Exit from Peacock – Comic Book Movies and Superhero Discussions

Wicked, the beloved musical that has been a streaming hit since its release, will soon be leaving Peacock. But don’t worry, it’s not disappearing from streaming altogether. Instead, it’s making a move to a new platform. Here’s the scoop!

According to the latest update, Wicked is set to depart from Peacock on July 20, 2025. This change is part of a long-term deal between Universal and Amazon Prime Video. After its exclusive run on Peacock for four months, Wicked will then premiere on Amazon Prime Video for the following 10 months.

Wicked first premiered on Peacock on March 21, 2025, so it’s been almost four months now. As part of the agreement, the movie will transition to Amazon Prime Video starting on July 25, 2025. Given its popularity, this move is expected to bring a significant boost to Prime Video’s viewership.

But that’s not all – fans of Wicked can also look forward to the release of the sequel, Wicked: For Good. Set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025, the sequel will continue the story of Glinda and Elphaba after the cliffhanger ending of the first movie.

So, mark your calendars! Catch Wicked on Peacock while you still can, and get ready to stream it on Amazon Prime Video starting July 25, 2025. Happy watching!
