If you’ve been meaning to check out Apple’s new psychological crime drama “Smoke“, you can now sample the show’s intense opening scene, along with Thom Yorke’s moody theme song for the opening credits. Take a look below.
Just like with their other series, Apple has shared the full opening scene for Smoke, offering a glimpse of what viewers can expect from this new crime drama.
Inspired by the Firebug podcast and created by Black Bird showrunner Dennis Lehane, Smoke stars Taron Egerton (Tetris, Rocketman) as a haunted arson investigator teaming up with detective Michelle Calderone, played by Jurnee Smollett (The Order, Lovecraft Country), to track down serial arsonists in the Pacific Northwest.
The show also features Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets), John Leguizamo (The Menu), and Ashley Gudsen (X-Men: Dark Phoenix).
Here’s a brief summary of the series from Apple:
“Inspired by true events, ‘Smoke’ follows an arson investigator who reluctantly partners with a police detective as they rush to stop two arsonists, setting off a twisted game of secrets and suspicions.”
Smoke debuted last week on Apple TV+ with two episodes. New episodes will be released every Friday until August 15.
