Top 9 Movies and Shows to Stream in June 2025 on Netflix, Prime Video, and More

June has been a fantastic month for me in terms of streaming entertainment. I’ve had the pleasure of exploring a variety of titles from different genres across popular streaming platforms. Surprisingly, my month seemed to be themed around Hugh Grant, as I found myself watching three of his movies back-to-back. Even though it was unintentional, each film was a perfect way to unwind at the end of a long day.

One standout film for me was “Heretic,” released in 2024. Despite some initial hesitation, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It showcased Hugh Grant in a new and unexpected role, far from his usual romantic comedy characters. The storyline follows two Mormon preachers who visit a reclusive man played by Grant, leading to a suspenseful and twisted plot that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Another classic film I revisited this month was “The Godfather” from 1972. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, this crime drama spotlights the legendary Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone. While I appreciated the film’s production quality and stellar performances, I did find certain parts a bit slow-paced. Nonetheless, the intricate family dynamics and post-war New York setting added depth to the storyline, making it a timeless classic.

In addition to these movies, I also delved into documentaries, including “Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy,” which offers a compelling insight into a tragic event. Directed by Yemi Bamiro & Hannah Poulter, this documentary sheds light on a significant incident, providing a thought-provoking viewing experience. It’s currently available for streaming on Netflix in the US, UK, and Australia.

Overall, June has been a month filled with engaging and diverse content on various streaming platforms. Whether it’s thrilling dramas, timeless classics, or eye-opening documentaries, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss out on these top picks to elevate your streaming experience this summer.
