Laila Ali Cast in Major TV Role
Boxing legend Laila Ali is stepping into a new role as the host of the revamped Chef Grudge Match on the Food Network and HBO Max. The show, which premieres in August, will feature culinary battles where rivalries are settled once and for all.
After former host Darnell Ferguson faced legal issues, the network decided to bring in Ali to breathe new life into the show. Ali expressed her excitement about joining the Food Network family, combining her passion for competition and delicious food on Chef Grudge Match.
The show will showcase competing culinary pros who put their skills, knives, and egos on the line to settle old scores. Each episode will feature two head-to-head battles, with judges determining the winner of $10,000 cash, the losing chef’s knife, and lifelong bragging rights.
Chef Grudge Match, hosted by Laila Ali, is set to premiere on Tuesday, August 12 at 9 pm EST on both the Food Network and HBO Max. Be sure to tune in for intense culinary showdowns and some delicious entertainment!
