DirecTV and Paramount reach carriage agreement, including CBS channels in sports streaming package
DirecTV is expanding its MySports streaming package in a big way by teaming up with Paramount to bring viewers 15 CBS-owned major-market affiliated stations and CBS Sports Network. This is exciting news for sports fans! MySports, which launched in January for $69.99 per month, already offers over 25 channels, including popular ESPN content and the Warner Bros. Discovery sports collection. However, Paramount channels were notably absent from the lineup until now.
This new channel package is just one of the many options available through DirecTV, so there’s something for everyone. And, following this partnership with Paramount, the MyKids genre pack is also under expansion. Plus, subscribers to MySports already enjoy ESPN+ and can look forward to accessing ESPN’s upcoming direct-to-consumer service set to launch later this year.
The best part? Despite these new additions, the pricing for MySports remains unchanged. It’s worth noting that DirecTV had been in talks with CBS about this partnership since the service’s launch, with deals being finalized in late 2024 after initial discussions kicked off in 2023. So, fans can now enjoy even more premium sports content through MySports without breaking the bank. Time to grab that remote and start streaming!
