Paramount+ to Adapt Hollie Overton’s Thriller “Baby Doll”
Paramount+ is gearing up for an exciting new series adaptation! The UK and Ireland branch of the streaming service has just announced the commission of Hollie Overton’s gripping novel, “Baby Doll.” This thrilling series will be available exclusively on Paramount+ where it is offered and is being produced by the UK-based production company, Clapperboard.
Starring in this captivating adaptation are Alfie Allen, known for his role in “Game of Thrones,” and Jill Halfpenny from “The Feud.” Joining them are sisters Tallulah, recognized for her work on “The Forsyte Saga,” and Delphi Evans. The story follows the lives of twin sisters, torn apart when one is kidnapped from their quiet town by a trusted teacher. After enduring years of captivity and abuse, she finally escapes, only to face a new set of challenges in her quest for freedom.
Behind the scenes, Clapperboard’s MD Mike Benson and Suzi McIntosh are serving as executive producers, with Mick Pantaleo in the producer’s chair. The adaptation for the screen is in the talented hands of David Turpin, Suzanne Cowie, and Nessah Muthy. Directing duties are being handled by Laura Way and Bindu de Stoppani.
