HBO Max plans to continue working with Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs

HBO Max is keeping their top talent onboard. The creative masterminds behind the hit show Hacks, Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, have just secured a shiny new deal with Warner Bros. TV. This means we can expect a lot more award-worthy content from this dynamic duo in the coming years.

With seven Emmys, a Peabody, multiple Golden Globes, and a slew of other accolades under their belts, it’s no surprise that HBO Max wants to maintain a strong partnership with Aniello and Downs. The new contract will see them creating even more top-notch TV exclusively for HBO Max, as the streaming service continues to evolve.

Fans of Hacks will be pleased to hear that the show will be coming to a close soon, but not before a few more memorable seasons. The show’s upcoming fifth season may not be the last, but the creators have a clear vision of where they want to take the story. And that’s not all—Aniello and Downs are already collaborating on a new project with Jen Statsky, who is also under contract with WBTV. The series, starring Kaley Cuoco, is titled Kansas City Star and is currently awaiting approval from HBO.

Aniello and Downs, who happen to be married in real life, have been working together for over a decade, starting with their days on Broad City. Ever since they first signed with Warner Bros. in 2021, they’ve been on a roll, capturing the hearts of both critics and viewers with Hacks. The show has not only raked in awards but has also seen a steady increase in viewership, culminating in a record-breaking finale for its fourth season.

It’s safe to say that Aniello and Downs are a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next. Stay tuned for more exciting projects from this talented duo!
