Sepideh Moafi Joins Season 2 Cast of ‘The Pitt’
“The Pitt” is gearing up for its second season with the addition of Sepideh Moafi to the cast. The show, a critically acclaimed medical drama on Max, is set to premiere in early 2026. Moafi, known for her role in “The L Word: Generation Q,” will be a series regular playing an attending physician in emergency medicine.
Joining Moafi in the upcoming season are Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laetitia Holland, and Lucas Iverson in recurring roles. “The Pitt,” starring Noah Wyle, follows the staff of a Pittsburgh hospital’s emergency department in real time and has become a fan-favorite on Max. The show averaged 6.18 million viewers per episode, making it Max’s top original series of the 2024-25 season. The streamer wasted no time and ordered a second season just a month after its premiere.
Behind the scenes, John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. TV are at the helm of “The Pitt.” The series was created by R. Scott Gemmill, who executive produces alongside Wells, Wyle, Michael Hissrich, Erin Jontow, and Simran Baidwan.
Moafi is no stranger to the screen, with credits in Showtime’s “The L Word: Generation Q,” Apple TV’s “Black Bird,” HBO’s “The Deuce,” and Hulu’s limited series “Class of ’09.” She is represented by Principal Entertainment LA, Gersh, ID, and Schreck Rose.
