Prime Video NASCAR Viewership Averages 2.16 Million with Increase in Younger Fans

Prime Video recently made waves by averaging 2.16 million viewers for its five NASCAR Cup Series races. This marked the first season that the streaming service carried NASCAR events under a seven-year rights deal.

Compared to last year’s average of 2.62 million for the same five races, this year’s average was down by 17.6%. It’s worth noting that last year, two of the races in the same period were broadcast on Fox.

It’s interesting to see that the average viewer age for the Prime Video races was 56.1, which is nearly seven years younger than the audiences that tuned in for the first 12 races at 62.8.

This drop in average audience aligns with trends in other sports that have transitioned from broadcast to streaming platforms, showcasing a shift in viewer habits.
