Jared Goff’s Banter with Tom Brady on Lions Offense in Netflix Series Trailer

On a recent FOX NFL broadcast, Tom Brady couldn’t help but praise the Detroit Lions’ offense, calling it “so much fun” and expressing his desire to be the quarterback of that dynamic team. In a light-hearted moment, Lions’ quarterback Jared Goff playfully responded, “Yeah, too bad, Tom. You’re retired.”

And it’s no surprise that Brady was impressed with the Lions’ offense last season. They finished with the fourth-highest scoring offense in NFL history, totaling 564 points. The only teams to surpass them were the 2018 Kansas City Chiefs, the 2007 New England Patriots led by Brady himself, and the 2013 Denver Broncos.

With an average of 33.2 points per game, the Lions scored a total of 68 touchdowns, with 39 passing and 29 rushing. Of those 39 passing touchdowns, an impressive 37 were thrown by Goff. He also ranked second in the league in passing yards (4,629), fourth in touchdown passes, and had the second-best quarterback rating in the NFL (111.8).

Goff’s standout performance helped lead the Lions to a franchise-best 15-2 record, and he even earned a spot as an MVP finalist, though the honor ultimately went to Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.

Fans can look forward to seeing more of Goff’s journey in Season 2 of Netflix’s series Quarterback, where he will be featured alongside Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons. The new season is set to premiere on July 8.
