MobLand Series Renewed for Second Season
The crime series MobLand, starring Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, has been given the green light for a second season. This Paramount+ series follows the Harrigan and Stevenson mob families as they battle for power, putting their lives at risk.
In the show, Brosnan plays mobster Conrad Harrigan, married to Mirren’s character Maeve Harrigan. Tom Hardy also stars as Harry Da Souza, a fixer brought in to clean up a mess after a night out gone wrong for the sons of both crime families.
The cast is packed with talent, including Paddy Considine from House Of The Dragon, Joanne Froggatt from Downton Abbey, Jasmine Jobson from Top Boy, Lara Pulver from Da Vinci’s Demons, Anson Boon from Pistol, Geoff Bell from Top Boy, and Emily Barber from Industry.
With over 26 million viewers and counting, MobLand has been a huge success, dominating both domestic and international charts and reaching #1 in the UK. The show, created by Ronan Bennett and Jez Butterworth, with Guy Ritchie as an executive producer, premiered in March and is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
