Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey Comedy Series Pauses Filming

Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey might be kicking it as real-life friends, but their Apple TV+ comedy series seems to be hitting a rough patch. The show, where they play exaggerated versions of themselves living together in Texas, has hit a snag. Their showrunner, David West Read, has parted ways with the project after eight episodes of filming.

Rumors are that Read left due to concerns about how to wrap up the series, but fret not! Lee Eisenberg, the mastermind behind Lessons In Chemistry, may be coming in to take the reins for the last two episodes. This means some reshoots could be in the cards for everyone involved in the show.

The cast, which includes Holland Taylor, Natalie Martinez, and more, have been sent home while the show’s direction gets a facelift. Originally announced in 2023, the whole thing kind of felt like unbelievable gossip – “Woody and Matthew are basically playing themselves, living together for a show.” Yet, Apple is determined to see it through. Can’t blame them for wanting to salvage eight episodes of hard work, right?

So, Hollywood isn’t a flat circle just yet, and we’ll have to wait and see how this drama unfolds. Stay tuned!
