Realtor from Netflix show tragically killed in hit-and-run accident in Syracuse
This week, the sad news broke that Sara Burack, a well-known real estate agent in the Hamptons and a familiar face from the Netflix series “Million Dollar Beach House,” was involved in a tragic hit-and-run incident. The 40-year-old was found unconscious on Montauk Highway near Villa Paul Restaurant in Hampton Bays, New York on Thursday, June 19. Her injuries indicated that she had been hit by a vehicle. The driver responsible for this terrible incident fled the scene and has not yet been identified, leaving an ongoing investigation in progress.
Authorities have not disclosed any details about the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, but they are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the case.
Sara Burack was a realtor at the prestigious Nest Seekers International in Southhampton, which viewers might recognize from Season 1 of “Million Dollar Beach House” in 2020. According to her LinkedIn profile, she joined the brokerage in 2012 and was actively involved in charitable causes such as the ASPCA & Southampton Animal Shelter and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society NYC Chapter.
In the wake of this tragic loss, friends and colleagues have expressed their grief and shock. Production designer Victor San Andrés took to Instagram to appeal for the driver to take responsibility, saying, “My dear friend Sara was killed by some hit-and-run a–hole. Turn yourself in you d–k. RIP Sara, you were dope AF.”
