Apple launches new immersive hot lap experience on Apple Vision Pro in continued F1 movie marketing blitz

Apple is ramping up the excitement for its upcoming film F1: The Movie, set to hit theaters on June 27 and stream on Apple TV+ later this year.

Apple has been making waves in promoting the film, from releasing a special haptic trailer to featuring F1 sketches during WWDC. Not to mention, appearances by Tim Cook and Brad Pitt at the Fifth Avenue Apple Store over the weekend, alongside numerous media interviews. And now, Apple has added another immersive experience to its lineup with a new Hot Lap Immersive installment, now available in the TV app on Apple Vision Pro.

This new immersive content lets viewers experience the thrill of high-speed racing with Brad Pitt in the driver’s seat, zooming around a track. Recorded in a unique 180-degree video format at 8K resolution, this content is optimized for the Vision Pro headset.

Although the Vision Pro’s standout feature is its immersive content, there was initially a limited selection available at launch. However, Apple has made strides in expanding its library, offering new featurettes more regularly. Recently, it even premiered its first feature-length immersive film, Bono: Stories of Surrender.

Furthermore, Apple introduced the Spatial Gallery app to showcase additional content designed for Vision Pro, such as 3D photos and panoramas.
