Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore recently made quite the buzz at an event for their hit show Landman. The show, created by Taylor Sheridan of Yellowstone fame, premiered on Paramount+ back in November of 2024. It quickly became the streamer’s biggest hit in two years and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
Based on the popular Boomtown podcast, Landman takes us deep into the world of the Texas oil industry, with standout performances from Thornton and Moore. The star-studded cast also features Jon Hamm, Andy Garcia, Jacob Lofland, and Ali Larter. Thanks to its success, Landman has already been renewed for a second season, which fans are eagerly anticipating.
During a fun moment at the event, Thornton shared a humorous tidbit about Moore not remembering him from their work together on “Indecent Proposal” nearly three decades ago. Thornton joked about it, and Moore later revealed that it was through her ex-husband Bruce Willis – who also worked with Thornton – that she really got to know him over the years.
As Landman continues to rise in popularity, Moore is enjoying a career resurgence as well. Her performance in “The Substance” scored her an Oscar nomination and wins at the Critics’ Choice, Golden Globe, and SAG Awards.
