Alex Cooper alleges sexual harassment by Boston University soccer coach

Podcaster Alex Cooper, known for her hit show “Call Her Daddy,” recently opened up about her time playing soccer at Boston University from 2013-15. In a two-hour, two-part documentary titled “Call Her Alex,” Cooper shared details about her experience with alleged sexual harassment by her former coach, Nancy Feldman.

During her time on the BU women’s soccer team, Cooper claimed that Feldman made inappropriate comments of a personal and sexual nature towards her, threatened her with retaliation, and attempted to touch her inappropriately. The documentary sheds light on these allegations, highlighting the emotional impact it had on Cooper during her college years.

Cooper also shared that despite bringing comprehensive evidence of Feldman’s behavior to the Boston University athletic director in 2015, no action was taken against the coach. This lack of response led Cooper to bury her story out of fear and embarrassment. However, she ultimately decided to speak out to support other women who may have experienced similar harassment on the BU campus.

Returning to BU for the first time since graduating, Cooper expressed her emotional journey in confronting her past experiences. She revealed the deep-seated pain and trauma she had suppressed over the years, emphasizing the importance of speaking up against harassment and abuse, even when it’s challenging.

Through her documentary, Cooper aims to raise awareness about the prevalence of harassment in academic and athletic settings, urging others to come forward and seek support. By sharing her story, she hopes to empower and inspire individuals to speak out against abuse and demand accountability from institutions and individuals responsible.
