Liam Payne to Appear in Netflix’s Building The Band Series
Netflix is gearing up to premiere its Building The Band talent discovery series on July 9th. This exciting competition will feature the late Liam Payne as a guest judge, which has been confirmed by Netflix. Although the first look clip released on Wednesday doesn’t show the former One Direction singer, he will indeed be part of the show.
Tragically, Payne passed away in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. After his untimely death, the producers of Building The Band and Payne’s family considered his involvement in the series. Thankfully, they have decided to move forward with Payne’s participation. The show is produced by Remarkable Entertainment, under the umbrella of Banijay U.K.
In a statement, Netflix shared that Liam Payne’s family has reviewed the series and fully supports his inclusion. The show is hosted by AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, with Nicole Scherzinger from The Pussycat Dolls as a mentor-judge, and Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child also playing a role in the series. This talent-filled competition is set to dazzle fans and aspiring musicians alike when it hits the screens.
