Podcast Host Accuses Former College Soccer Coach of Sexual Harassment
useries. The host of the popular podcast, “Call Her Daddy,” Alex Cooper, spoke out about her experience with sexual harassment by her former soccer coach, Nancy Feldman, during her time at Boston University from 2013 to 2015. In a new docuseries called “Call Her Alex,” which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, Cooper shared that Feldman would make inappropriate comments about her body, inquire about her dating life, and insist on being alone with her. Cooper expressed feeling singled out by Feldman, leading to her ultimately being benched during games and eventually removed from the team during her senior year. Despite bringing her concerns to university officials, Cooper claims her allegations were dismissed without investigation.
During a Q&A session at the premiere, Cooper highlighted the challenges women face in coming forward with allegations of harassment, noting that her own experience was met with disbelief, even though she took the courageous step to speak up. As of now, neither Feldman nor Boston University has publicly commented on the situation. The Hulu docuseries, “Call Her Alex,” is set to be released on June 10.
