Disney+ to Premiere Miraculous Stellar Force Anime Spin-Off in 2027

Exciting news for all the Miraculous Ladybug fans out there! Disney Branded Television has just acquired the rights to Miraculous Stellar Force, an anime spin-off based on the popular French animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. The new series is set to premiere in 2027 on Disney Channel and Disney+.

For those who might not be familiar, Miraculous Ladybug follows the story of two teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir to protect Paris from supervillains. The show first aired in 2015 and has since gained a huge following, especially on Disney+.

Miraculous Stellar Force will be the first spin-off of the original series, featuring a hand-drawn anime style. This time, the action takes place in an international school in Tokyo, where twelve students discover their destiny as protectors of the ancient weapon, the Stellar Matrix. Guided by Miki, Mayotte, and Yu Lu, the group must overcome their differences and work together to combat threats from outer space, including the menacing Modeler and The Supreme.

While we’ll have to wait until 2027 for the full series, there’s a special treat in store for fans later this year. A one-hour special called Miraculous World: Tokyo Stellar Force will give us a sneak peek into the new spin-off. Without giving too much away, the special will feature Marinette and Kagami playing key roles in uniting the team of heroes in Tokyo.

The creators behind Miraculous are thrilled to expand the universe with Stellar Force, promising a fresh take on heroism and friendship. The series is said to blend action, comedy, and heartfelt character arcs in a setting filled with martial arts and stunning views of Tokyo.
