East Bay Native Gigi Grace Stars in Prime Video’s “The Better Sister”

Rhode Island native Gigi Grace is making waves in the limited series “The Better Sister,” now streaming on Prime Video. Starring alongside Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks, Grace portrays the young version of Nicky in this psychological thriller.

Initially slated for just one episode, Grace’s talent led to her appearance in four of the eight episodes. Filming spanned over days and months, with Grace even returning to set for the final episode after wrapping up in the summer.

“It’s been a stroke of luck,” Grace shares. “I couldn’t be more thrilled for the show to be out there. It was a joy to work on, and I can’t wait to see it unfold.”

Beyond acting, Grace is a multi-talented individual with skills in singing, songwriting, guitar playing, mixed martial arts, and dancing. Raised in the East Bay, she delved into the arts early on, attending various programs and classes to hone her craft.

Reflecting on her childhood dreams, Grace mentions, “As soon as I realized actors were real people, I knew that’s what I wanted to do.” Traveling to New York for auditions at eleven, she eventually made the move to the city for more opportunities, balancing studies with her burgeoning professional career.

Despite the unpredictability of the industry, Grace remains hopeful and driven. Her credits include appearances in “Lioness” on Paramount+ and “Fleishman Is in Trouble” on Hulu, along with several short films. Looking ahead, Grace’s aspirations are simple: to keep working and be a part of exciting projects in the future.
