‘Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Jeopardy!’ now available for streaming on Hulu and Peacock

Beginning this fall, fans of “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” will have a new way to enjoy their favorite game shows. Sony Pictures Television announced that both shows will be expanding beyond their traditional TV broadcasts and will be available on streaming services Peacock and Hulu in the U.S. This means that viewers can still catch new episodes on their local stations, but can also watch them on these streaming platforms the day after they air on TV.

This move comes as Sony recognizes the shift in viewer demographics and aims to reach a younger audience by making the shows more accessible on popular streaming services. In addition to current episodes, Hulu and Peacock users will also have access to a library of older episodes, allowing them to binge-watch their favorite puzzles and trivia challenges.

Keith Le Goy, chairman of Sony Pictures Television, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “We are thrilled to bring America’s favorite game shows to an even wider audience on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and Peacock.” The new licensing agreements will kick off this fall with the 42nd season of “Jeopardy” and the 43rd season of “Wheel of Fortune.”

Meanwhile, Sony continues to navigate legal battles with CBS over distribution rights for the shows. A recent ruling allowed CBS to continue distributing episodes while the network appeals a decision that favored Sony. Despite the legal wrangling, fans can look forward to enjoying their beloved game shows on their preferred streaming platforms in the upcoming seasons.
