Nicole Clemens Named Head of Prime Video International Originals
Nicole Clemens, formerly the president of Paramount Television Studios, is stepping into a new role as the vice president and head of international originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.
Starting on July 7, Clemens will be in charge of developing and producing original movies and series in over 20 territories. She will work closely with teams across Europe, Latin America, the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, North Africa, Canada, and Australia.
Before fully transitioning to her London base, Clemens will spend some time at Amazon MGM Studios’ headquarters in Culver City. She is set to lead a talented group of international originals team leaders, including Javiera Balmaceda, Tara Erer, Nicole Morganti, and John Holmes.
Notably, Clemens has an impressive background in the industry, having previously held positions at Paramount Television Studios and Paramount+. During her time there, she spearheaded the development and production of popular series like “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “Reacher,” and “Cross.”
With an already successful track record in the industry, Clemens is poised to guide Prime Video’s future International Originals slate and further solidify the platform’s commitment to international series and movies. According to Prime Video international vice president Kelly Day, Clemens’ leadership will pave the way for even greater heights.
Last year, Prime Video produced over 140 international and original series and movies, showcasing a diverse range of content from around the world. Some notable titles included Spain’s “Culpa Nuestra,” Germany’s “Maxton Hall,” and India’s “Superboys of Malegaon.”
As the streaming landscape continues to evolve, Clemens’ expertise and vision will play a crucial role in shaping the future of international content for Prime Video. We look forward to seeing the exciting projects that will come to life under her leadership.
