Man Demands $6 Million Over Netflix Documentary at Papi Steak – Police

A man in Miami Beach made quite a stir when he locked employees inside the Papi Steak restaurant while demanding $6 million. His reasoning? He claimed he was owed money for appearing in a Netflix documentary alongside Gordon Ramsay. The man in question, 59-year-old Joaquin Nunez, used a U-lock to keep workers inside on May 18. Nunez, who said he had worked at the restaurant before, insisted, “My demands for damages is $6 million.” The restaurant had to bring in a locksmith to get the lock removed, and Nunez was arrested on charges of attempted extortion, criminal mischief, and possession of Adderall.
