Kevin Hart’s new movie ’72 Hours’ casting for extras in New Jersey for club and yacht scenes
If you’re looking to get paid to party (or at least pretend to), now’s your chance! Kevin Hart’s new Netflix comedy, “72 Hours,” is filming in New Jersey and is on the hunt for locals to join as background actors. This opportunity emerged after the movie put out a call for luxury car owners in the area.
“72 Hours” stars Kevin Hart as a struggling business executive who gets pulled into a three-day bachelor party after being mistakenly added to the wrong group chat. Joining Hart in the cast is Marcello Hernandez from “Saturday Night Live,” who will play the groom’s best man. Directed by Tim Story, known for his work on Hart’s popular films like “Think Like a Man” and “Ride Along,” and written by New Jersey natives Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, this movie promises to be a fun ride.
If you’re between 18 and 35 and want to be part of the action, Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for locals to play partygoers in both a club scene happening on June 24-26 and a yacht scene scheduled for July 14-18. To apply, simply email [email protected] with the subject line “CLUB” or “YACHT” and include your name, phone number, SAG membership status, availability for the shoot dates, availability for a fitting, tattoo visibility, age confirmation, and current non-professional photos. Don’t forget to share your sizes too!
This film is just one of many taking advantage of New Jersey’s attractive tax credits, with the state serving as a backdrop for various productions like Apple TV’s “Severance”, the Oscar-nominated Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown”, and even an upcoming sequel to “Happy Gilmore”. With the state’s production volume on the rise, Netflix recently began construction on a whopping $900 million film and production studio in Oceanport, New Jersey, which is set to include 12 soundstages and more across nearly 300 acres.
So, if you’ve ever dreamed of sharing the screen with Kevin Hart or being part of a major movie production, now’s your chance to shine. Get those applications in before June 28 and who knows, you might just find yourself rubbing elbows with Hollywood’s finest in the Garden State!
