Good morning! Here are the latest headlines for Monday, June 2nd.

First up, there’s an open house happening tonight to discuss Omaha’s newest annexation package. This package is divided into four areas and includes over 3,500 residents, as well as Flanagan Lake. The city planning board will be reviewing the package at its meeting on Wednesday. If you’re interested, head over to the Saddlebrook Community Center tonight at 6:00 p.m. to join the discussion.

In other news, today is expected to be the final day of the current legislative session at the Unicameral. Lawmakers will be going through final readings of select bills and may also consider overriding any vetoes from Gov. Jim Pillen. Several bills that Pillen prioritized back in December have already passed.
