“The Pickup” with WWE star Roman Reigns premieres August 6
Amazon Prime Video has set the premiere date for the upcoming movie “The Pickup,” which will include WWE star Roman Reigns in a supporting role. The film, starring Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, Eva Longoria, and Keke Palmer, is scheduled to debut on August 6.
In a recent feature by Tom Kludt of Vanity Fair, Reigns, also known as Joe Anoa’i outside the ring, is reported to appear alongside Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer in a scene. Director Tim Story had high praises for Reigns, highlighting his charisma and predicting a successful transition into acting once his wrestling career wraps up.
According to IMDb, “The Pickup” is classified as an action-comedy, with a plot revolving around two armored truck drivers facing a dangerous situation during a cash pickup. Reigns previously had a supporting role in the 2019 film “Hobbs & Shaw.”
In addition to Reigns, former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch will also be featured in “The Pickup.” The anticipation for Roman Reigns’ on-screen presence continues to grow as fans await the movie’s premiere date.
