‘King of the Hill’ Revival Premiere Date Announced with First Look from Hulu

Hulu is returning to Arlen, Texas, and King of the Hill fans couldn’t be more excited. The streaming service has announced that the revival of the beloved animated series is set to premiere on August 4th, marking a little more than 2 1/2 years since the show’s return was first announced.

The 10-episode season will pick up where the original series left off, running for 13 seasons on Fox from 1997-2010. But there’s a twist: Bobby Hill, perennial middle schooler during the original run, is now all grown up. The first still image from the show reveals Bobby’s transformation, showing how time has passed for the characters.

In this continuation of King of the Hill, audiences will see the Hill family navigating a changed Arlen, Texas. Hank and Peggy Hill return home after working in Saudi Arabia to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is chasing his dream as a chef in Dallas, enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane.

The show promises to bring back much of the original voice cast, including co-creator Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. Fans can expect the same humor and heart that made King of the Hill a beloved classic. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly-anticipated revival!
